Description
Mic/Line to Network Section
The XLR input is converted to a Dante or AES67 network transmit channel. Five gain settings are software-selectable for the XLR input. Three gain settings are provided to match condenser or dynamic microphones. Two gain settings are provided to match standard line levels. P48 phantom voltage may be software enabled when the input is set for mic level.
Network to Mic/Line Outputs Section
Two Dante or AES67 audio channels are converted to balanced line level. One channel feeds the front-panel XLR output jack and one of the two rear-panel outputs on a detachable wiring block. The other audio channel feeds the other output on the detachable wiring block. Each line output provides balanced +4 dBu for a network digital audio level of -18 dBFS. Each output is equipped with a software-controlled attenuator adjustable in 1 dB steps to a maximum attenuation of 63 dB, then OFF. The front-panel XLR output is also equipped with a software-controlled mic/line output attenuator pad. When that output is set to mic level, the step attenuator reduces the mic output in 1 dB steps to a maximum attenuation of 63 dB below mic level, then OFF. The rear-panel outputs may drive local power amplifiers or may feed additional XLR jacks mounted adjacent to the D-RN12 in a dual-gang box. Two XLR mic or line outputs may be provided using an RDL D-D2 equipped with two AMS-XLRMA jacks, available separately.
Valid PoE power and synchronization to the Dante network are indicated by green LEDs visible from the front of the unit.
The D-RN12 is a professional grade product with an RDL mic preamplifier for studio quality fidelity and low noise performance, with audio coupled through XLR jacks housed in a steel chassis mounted with a powder-coated or stainless-steel Decora front plate.
The D-RN12’s superior performance specifications make it ideally suited to installations requiring network control and exceptional value in commercial networked audio systems. This full-featured product is engineered and manufactured in the U.S.A. for continuous duty in demanding installations. Designed to outperform. Built to last.
