Connected

The RU-BTLA delivers a complete set of audio outputs, including balanced XLR, unbalanced RCA and Format-A twisted pair RJ45 jacks. The line outputs and the Format-A outputs may be independently configured to provide either mono or stereo outputs.

Future Proof

The RU-BTLA supports both Bluetooth Classic as well as Bluetooth LE Audio, allowing it to deliver high quality audio and extended range (up to 100 meters from a Class 1 device), as well as ensuring support for the widest range of current and future user devices.

Customizable

The RU-BTLA was designed to support the unique requirements of commercial installations, including the ability to enable/disable PIN pairing, define the pairing PIN and customize the broadcast name of each RU-BTLA.

Flexible installation options

Out of the box the RU-BTLA supports a variety of installation options. Simply place it on a surface on its nonslip rubber feet, secure it using the integrated mounting plate, or select from a wide range of optional RDL trays and brackets for rack installations.

The integrated antenna delivers industry-leading extended range and will support most installation scenarios. In a situation where the AV rack is completely blocked off and inaccessible, the RU-BTLA has mounting holes that allow it to be mounted anywhere on a wall or ceiling, with a balanced audio or Format-A line run back to the rack. A Decora style remote pairing button is available to allow users to initiate pairing on the RU-BTLA from any location.

For flexible user access, wall-mounted pairing controls are available in Decora or EU-style form factors to allow users to initiate remote pairing with the RU-BTLA.

Reliable

The RU-BTLA is manufactured at our headquarters in Prescott, Arizona using high quality components and materials. In addition, its integrated antenna removes the risk of an external antenna being damaged or misplaced. And like all RDL products, every single unit is thoroughly inspected and tested before it is packaged and shipped to the customer.

Description

The RU-BTLA is a Bluetooth audio receiver compatible with RDL® Format-A twisted-pair receivers and includes balanced line-level outputs on XLR jacks and unbalanced line-level outputs on RCA jacks. When paired with compatible Bluetooth-enabled devices, the module receives stereo audio from the Bluetooth source. The stereo signal is sent through two Format-A pairs to any RDL Format-A receiver. A stereo/mono switch set by the installer permits summed mono audio to be sent over one switch-selected pair to the Format-A receiver. In stereo mode, Bluetooth audio is also available via balanced line-level stereo outputs on the rear-panel XLRs or via unbalanced RCA outputs. In mono mode, the summed mono audio is sent to both XLRs and both RCAs.

If set for stereo operation, an additional Format-A source (set to Pair A) may be daisy-chained with the RU-BTLA to a three-pair Format-A receiver. If set for mono operation, up to three D SERIES-BT1A modules may be daisy-chained to a single three-pair Format-A receiver. Connections between Format-A modules use standard CATx cable with RJ45 connectors.

The RU-BTLA modules are powered from a compatible 24 VDC power supply. The power pair and all three audio pairs are fed through both rear-panel RJ45 jacks. The installer can customize the module name and programming password through the Bluetooth connection using a smartphone, computer, or tablet terminal program. These modules feature studio-quality circuits and analog filters to deliver audio performance that exceeds expectations from consumer interface technologies. High performance, simplicity of operation, and efficiency of installation make RDL the best value in professional Bluetooth interfaces.
